Over the period of a year, it is estimated that companies internationally launch approximately two dozen communications satellites.

In recent news, the ISRO are planning to launch two new telecommunications satellites and Inmarsat are undergoing plans to launch a new satellite constellation in the next year.

In the next 8-10 years, it is predicted that satellites will have a global worth of $196 Billion worldwide.
