Innovations From CES 2014
Innovations From CES 2014

For over 40 years the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has defined what technology is. Over the years, the show has attracted a lot of people displaying a number of innovations.

In 2014, the show was held in Las Vegas (just like all the other shows) and it attracted over one million attendees from over 150 countries.

With CES2015 coming up, here is a quick recap of some of the best CES innovations in 2014:

NVIDIA Tegra K1 mobile system-on-chip

This was probably the biggest attraction at the show. NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 is a 192-core-CPU superchip that offers desktop graphic features and games on mobile devices. The good side is that despite the software providing this it does not compromise the mobile’s battery life.

The company that designed the software promised to launch the chip in two configurations: 32-bit quad-core, 4-plus-1 ARM cortex A15 CPU version and 64-bit dual super core CPU version.

iNPOFi foldable mobile wireless charger

This was another attraction in the show. The foldable charger with a battery of 5000 mAh ensures 90% power efficiency with almost zero radiation emission. The good side with the charger is that it’s foldable thus you can fold and place it in your bag and it will take just a small space.

In addition to this the charger promises a speedy recharge which saves you a lot of time. The device is not only a charger, but it also functions as a LED flash light with a 40 lumen when you roll it.

F201 car camcorder from VistaQuest

This device is meant to be mounted on the wind shield and it’s designed to record the road ahead or behind with the aid of a 120 degree lens. In case of a collision, the Camcorder has a collision sensor that stores and locks the collision video.

In addition to this it also has a motion sensor that tends to trigger the cam if someone tries to snoop outside your car.

The device also has an in-built GPS that aids in tracking the car and camera. It also provides alerts in case you approach a police speed camera. The most amazing thing is that the device only costs $150.

LaCie Fuel wireless hard drive

This device has a fuel wireless hard drive with a Terabyte storage capacity. It also has a Wi-Fi radio which also serves as a router for the wireless network. According to the manufacturing company, the device is compatible with Air play with a battery life of up to 10 hours. The expected market value of the device is $199.
