Freescale Technical Forum 2014

The Freescale Technical Forum (FTF) comes to Dallas, Texas on April 8 -11, 2014. FTF2014 will also be held in Shenzen, China (May),  Bengaluru, India (August) and Tokyo, Japan (November). Freescale continues to provide one of the most comprehensive embedded ecosystem focused conferences for the engineering community. Innovation, collaboration and education are the focus of this event.

Lowest rates are still available for Dallas early registrations through February 14th. First time attendee cost is $750 and returning FTF alumni receive a $200 discount. Registration includes admission to all general and breakout sessions, hands-on workshops, the technology lab and evening activities. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, as well as reception fare in the technology lab each evening.

Technical sessions are at the core of the FTF curriculum, providing detailed information on products and technologies from Freescale and industry experts. These sessions include lectures, hands-on workshops, lunch and learns and panel sessions.

  • Lecture Sessions: Lectures are highly technical, one-to-two hour classes designed to educate, inform and train engineers. They may contain live demonstrations and can accommodate from 80 – 250 people.
  • Hands-on Workshops: Hands-on workshops focus on hardware and software that attendees can touch, feel and experiment with. Class sizes are limited to 30 people and are typically two to four hours in length. These sessions require pre-registration through the session scheduler.
  • Lunch and Learn Sessions: Similar to a lecture session, these sessions are more informal and interactive. They typically last an hour and are held during lunch. Box lunches are provided.
  • Panel Sessions: Guided by a moderator, panelists field attendee questions about their fields of expertise. They also provide insight into the future of technology and the embedded semiconductor industry. Panelists may be Freescale leaders, partners, analysts or editors.

This year, Freescale is featuring seven track categories:

  • Automotive
  • Consumer
  • Healthcare
  • Industrial
  • Networking
