Hate your e-mail app? Try Mailbox Via Acumor

Do you read and send e-mail messages through your smart phone? Of course you do. Do you actually like the e-mail application you use to get this done? If you’re like most smart phone users, probably not.
The simple truth is that few smart phone users like their mobile e-mail programs.
There’s a new contender in the mobile e-mail space, and it might change this. Tech provider Orchestra just recently released Mailbox, its new e-mail client for your iPhone. And the reviews? Up to now, they’ve been excellent.
(Update April, 2019 – Mailbox is no longer a working app, but you can check out Mailbird and read more here about what happened).
Features
Tech writers have already been raving about Mailbox for iPhone for one main reason: You can tell it has been designed specifically for a smart phone. This represents a big difference from most mobile e-mail programs. Too many of them operate as if they were made for desktop and laptop computers and then ported, with few changes, to mobile platforms. Mailbox for iPhone doesn’t feel as if it’s designed this way. That’s because to delete messages, archive them, save them for a later date or respond to them, you apply the swiping motion so typical to today’s smart phones and other mobile computing devices. This straightforward improvement gives Mailbox for iPhone an advantage over its competitors.
Viewing
Another issue with most mobile e-mail programs is that messages when they open are simply too big. There is too much information displayed for the size of a typical smart phone screen. Mailbox for iPhone, though, avoids this mistake. When originally showing messages, Mailbox only displays the main parts. Signatures, for instances, will not be visible, removing much of the clutter associated with standard mobile e-mail programs. Once you tap an e-mail message, though, it’s going to open into an expanded state, showing signatures plus the “To” and “From” fields. Positive reviews have pointed out that sending an e-mail message from Mailbox for the iPhone feels a lot more like Tweeting. This can be excellent for today’s smart phone users. Finally, Mailbox earns kudos for the texting feel of their app. Users do not see traditional e-mail messages whenever they open messages. Instead, their screens display smaller chat bubbles. Again, this can be a nice feature for mobile users who are more comfortable with texting.
To Do
Finally, Mailbox provides a sort of handy to-do list for your e-mail messages. It’s easy to access options that let you choose when a message, after you’ve read it, will reappear in your inbox. You can choose from such options as “Later Today”, “This Evening”, “Tomorrow” and “Next Week”. For those especially long-term messages, you can choose the “In a Month” option. Our recommendation? If you’re tired of e-mail clients that are slow or that feel like they were designed solely for a desktop, explore Orchestra’s Mailbox. The odds are you’ll enjoy it.
